On Saturday, September 20, 28 Years Later will make its Netflix debut. 28 Weeks Later is available on Hulu, and 28 Days Later, which was once out of print and difficult to locate, is available for free streaming on Pluto TV if you want to start the franchise from the beginning.

Earlier this year, the third installment in Danny Boyle’s renowned zombie series, 28 Years Later, had its theatrical debut. This week, the popular horror film will be available on streaming services, just in time for the scary season.

Boyle and Alex Garland collaborated to make 28 Days Later a reality more than 20 years ago. The sequel, 28 Weeks Later, came out in 2007. The franchise introduces a new kind of menace in place of the usual undead fare: running zombies afflicted with the Rage Virus, a biological weapon.

28 Years Later stars Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Erin Kellyman, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sam Locke, and Alfie Williams. Early in 2026, The Bone Temple, the follow-up, is scheduled to debut.

The film 28 Years Later is turning out to be a bit contentious. Even while the picture has a lot of creative quality, not everyone was a fan of the way it was directed.

I am not one of those individuals. I think 28 Years Later is my favorite movie of the year thus far. You won’t have to wait long if, like me, you’ve been itching to see the modern horror classic again.

On Saturday, 28 Years Later will be available for watching on Netflix. Since Netflix now holds the streaming rights to movies from Sony Pictures, we knew the movie will eventually be available on the massive streaming service.
