According to those with knowledge of the investigation into the shooting at the immigration center in Dallas, Joshua Jahn, 29, is the alleged assailant on Wednesday.

According to police, the gunman opened fire on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility from a nearby structure, killing one person and wounding two others before killing himself. The sources said Jahn killed himself at roughly 7 a.m. after striking three detainees in an unmarked transport van. According to officials, he was discovered dead on a nearby rooftop clutching a weapon.

According to a DHS announcement, “the shooter fired indiscriminately at the ICE building, including at a van in the sallyport where the victims were shot.” During a press briefing, special agent in charge of the Dallas field office Joe Rothrock stated that the rounds were discovered close to the alleged gunman.
